Members Marshal
In another thread I talked about dropping in samples of background noises into a recording. I put up on my reverbnation site an almost-finished recording of a song that does this. Tommy is the name. It's a song with a story about a guy who plays guitar. He finds a girl. He loses the girl. He ends up singing his sad tale in a Blues Bar. I thought it would be fun to include disinterested background noises from a restaurant or bar. I found a bunch of free wav file clips on the internet. And we spliced them into the track. There's a basic restaurant noise track that loops. The volume is pulled up and down throughout the recording. There's also a laugh track that sounded nice so it pops in and out a couple times. Then at the end there's a little light applause.
