Pedalboard content, how to go about this...

I have a large old bass case (or soemething likewise) that I want to fasion into a wedge style pedalboard. My plan would be to cut about 1/3 of the bottom part off, so I would have a box shaped thing missing one side and the bottom. My plan would then be to cut the 2 sides perpendicular to the missing side on angles so when I put the bottom down it'd be in a nice wedge shape.

What kind of saw should I use? I don't quite trust myself with a jig, and a circular saw seems cumbersome. Any Ideas.

I plan to mount the power supply on the bottom and have 3 tiers of pedals (the top being sideways/shorter pedals) then drill holes to make her look clean. It already has nice tollex going for it.

Any other ideas would be appericiated.

A circular saw would be faster, but the wood isn't thick, so why bother. You could try to use a straight edge with the jigsaw, if it doesn't work out for you then use the circular saw maybe?

The problem is getting a good hold of it so it doesn't move and screw up the cut or your hand, foot, arm etc. Keep your fingers out of the way. Remember the safety glasses. Don't forget to call your mother, always buy low sell high etc. I think this will be easier with the jigsaw, it is lighter.
