Members music321
is there any way to do it? replacing components with higher quality parts? anything else?
Members el_tonto
Use good batteries rather than a AC adapter. Use good cables too. Noise in means noise out no matter how good your components are. Use shorter cables - don't use a 20' cable when a 12' cable will do fine. Turn down the gain on distortion pedals a bit can alleviate noise. If you can't live without mega gain, then add a good clean booster in front of your fuzz box instead. I understand that DC through a pot is a bad idea - if you have any such pedals you might be able to mod them so that only AC goes through the pot. Members jonjohn
why a battery instead of an adapter ,? i have heard that before but not the reason
Members shred_headk
why a battery instead of an adapter ,? i have heard that before but not the reason the reason is that AC is dirty (not consistant), constantly fluctuating by small amounts, if you use a power conditioner, might clean it up
