Members Tim Edgerton
I am looking for help in installing a zoom digital effects processor to my dm 24. The dm24 is set up for live music. I have aux 1,2,&3 used for my stage monitors and I want to use aux 4 for my feed to the dm 24. I don't have a problem sending a channle to the processor. but I am not sure where i need to tie it back in to the DM24. I want to be able to send any channel I want to the processor. If someone could help, I would appriciate it.
Members DigitMus
It's been a while since I've done that (my DM24 is relegated to use as an aditional emergency mixer), but you might look here - http://tascamforums.com/index.php?showforum=8 If you can't get a good answer there, you'll have to slog through the #$%*ing manuals . Members Danny (NS::U)
First, make Aux 4 post-fader on all your input channels. You will then need to bring either a mono or stereo output from the FX processor into either a channel input(s) or an assignable return(s). If you use the assignable returns, you will have to go into the I/O page to assign them to a channel (it can be useful to use something on the second layer for this.) The returns should be assigned to the stereo buss, and you should be very careful never to turn up Aux 4 on those returns (because of the feedback loop it would cause). However, on every other channel, Aux 4 will put a bit of that channel into the FX processor (which should be set for 100% wet). Season to taste. That's a DM24 in my avatar, by the way. I also have one for the mobile PA. I like 'em.
