I bought them to use as a compact PA for small solo gigs and they sound great. But I also have them hooked up to my computer in the studio with a sub woofer - very versatile. Roland also makes some small amp/PA systems like the KC-110 or SA-300.

Members philbo
If you're looking for something simple & clean, try this. It's micro (only 30 watts), will handle both instruments & mics, and is well priced. If you need something with more kick, I'd recommend the JBL Eon. Here's the newest one. Mine is similar, but only 400 Watts. (If using it for gigs, it'd be good to get a tripod stand for it also).
