Members Pauly
I have been looking for any books/CD's that offer practical examples of applying Latin style drumming to the drumset.I have the Weckl Ultimate play along. It has a latin track with some cha-cha in it and a little bossa nova. I'd especially like a book that comes with a CD.Also some artist instructional videos would be decent .I have one of Charles Dowd performing different styles and his latin drumming was somewhat crappy and bland. Thanks a ton guys! Members agogobill
For Afro-Cuban, look for tapes and books by Ignacio Berroa, Ed Uribe or Chuck Silverman. For Brazilian, Airto Moreira and Ed Uribe ...

Members Liverneck
Alex Acuna has great videos for latin set. He goes into Salsa and Samba clave patterns. He keeps the pattern with each limb at one point or another. Great drummer and percussionist.
