The toms, however, sounded terribe. Just picked up some Remo Pinstripes for my 13 and 16 toms. Holy crap! It's amazing! Suddenly the whole kit sounds 10x better! I love getting new heads (or any other new equipment for that matter) because it puts a renewed energy into you... you want to play more because your set sounds nice and has new gizmos on it. I use the Remo "pins" on my toms and even my ludwig snare top and bottom. love 'em.You might want to even look into replacing your bass heads as well. i think you'll find putting on good bass heads you'll be even more happy.9like aquarian superkick ll's for example) and Aquarian regulators for your resonant front head.the choice of many bass heads is awesome and all sound good........again, its personal preference.
