Members Michael Mage Posted March 27, 2004 Members Share Posted March 27, 2004 I just puchased a 30" frame drum. This thing has amazing bass to it with either mallets or fingers. I will be playing a gig on April 2nd and need a stand to hold this thing up so I don't have to. The problem is this: Since its a frame drum, the small frame (about 2" deep) must not be weighted and cannot be sitting on anyhting. If something is touching the frame of the drum it sounds very flat.. Basically this thing needs to be suspended by the rawhide backings on the back. IF you understood what I said and have ideas let me know. 6 days and counting till showtime and I have no idea on what to do with this! Thanks!
