Members TheSphinX
Hey guys!I'm buying a new hi-hat now but I didn't know which one to buy so I asked Jeremy Colson (steve vai) which one he uses because it sounds really good on stage. He uses the AAX-celerator 14" hats. Does anybody here know if it sounds as good acoustic?
Members ArtVandelay
I went looking for hihats at Guitar Center and played a bunch I thought I'd like while avoiding these because I didn't think they'd be my taste. Disappointed that I couldn't find anything I liked, I stepped on the pedal to the stand the AAX-celerators were no and played them and, to my astopnishment, they sounded like what I was looking for all along. They have a full-bodied sound and a brightness that can cut through for jazz, rock, and R&B - though they are definitely more suited to rock and R&B then to jazz. Go try them at a store, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
Members TheSphinX
Thanks man! Though I'm playing progressive metal but I think they might do the job for that genre too. But the hi-hat is probably the part I'm the most pickey about on a drumkit.
