Members tmetaler Posted October 30, 2006 Members Share Posted October 30, 2006 aight.. i hav a quandry... i am a paiste guy by preference... i just love the way their cymbals sound- they have more character and body to them than what i hear in other cymbals... idk... but i do like sabians.. in fact, i am stuck between a pair of sabian AA metal-X hats and a pair of paiste alpha rock hats! i love the sound of both of them, and the paistes are a little cheaper... but are the sabians going to be THAT much better? which pair would yall get? and what have you heard about the sabian AA metal-X ride?? cuz thats the next ride im plannin on gettin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I would go with the Paiste's if it were me, but that's just me. Honestly I have no experience with the Alpha hats or the Sabian Metal-X hats, but in general experience I lean toward Paiste cymbals over Sabian. ...but I'm a Zildjian guy, so what do I know. I think you are comparing 2 sets of hihats that arent comparable in Quality and price. Alpha and B8Pro may be more comparable. I'd get the Paiste since I am a Paiste guy and you have almost all Paistes judging from your myspace pics...And for $60 more...you should be able to find a step up from the Alphas. Members trickcooley Posted November 1, 2006 Members Share Posted November 1, 2006 I know when I looked for a goodpair of hats I spent the extra money and got paiste Sigs and havent looked back....but they were pricey.
