No doubt Stu is having a blast...

Stanton Moore is another of my faves for that reason...

Dave Grohl is a blast to watch play drums or guitar... Taylor Hawkins as well.

On a different note, Vinnie C plays the most amazing sh!t as nonchalantly as if he's washing his hands. The guy can play circles around anybody while paying more attention to the cigarette he's smoking. wow.

and on the opposite end of the spectrum, Neil Peart looks like he's simultaneously bearing down on a difficult BM and passing a kidney stone when he plays. ugh.

ROFL!!

I never noticed that, really. Im going WAAAy out on a limb and thinking your not a big NP fan??

Charlie Watts looks like hed rather be playing anything but THOSE songs for the 10,000th time.

+1 on Vinnie C. The guy is completely relaxed.

I may catch some doodoo for this, Our Lord and Savior Gadd, while laying down some tastiness, does seem to jerk about a bit. He also seems to slouch a bit to his Left side. Sometimes it seems a little uncomfortable. But, even Michelangelo suffered for his art.

Like I was saying in that other thread, I don't hold any drummer above criticism. Criticism is an important part of analysis. You're right about Gadd, any professional instructor is going to suggest that you keep your body quieter than that. Doesn't seem to effect his playing much, but you gotta wonder what the difference would be if he kept a little more stillness.

Lee Trevino had a swing that gave most of the teaching pros on the tours nightmares. Still, in both those cases, it's a technical issue, and not a results issue.
