yeah, sounds like a nicely compressed steel 6" tuned up nice and high. It's the kind of sound the mic hears, but it'll sound way ring'y in the room while playing it.

 

Just drink absinthe, like 'ole Trent in the video. That way you won't care what your drums sound like, or if you want a drum machine or not!

 

I hope ya'll had a nice time last night. Just wash up afterwards.

Trust me, you don't want to do that. It is extremely difficult to balance the levels between e-drums and a-cymbals. Been witness to many guys who tried that, and each and every one of them said the same thing.
