After a ton of searching, debating and so on this is the system we bought. 9,000 watts. I'm hoping my inner organs will be forced to re-configure do to the effects of my kick. We had just unloaded it last night. These were taken before anything was connected.

Side note: Carmine the system CRANKS!!!! and everything is in good working oder , so far. I'll know more this weekend. We will be spraying the grills though and taking off the badges.

And no, that is not a our "CRAZED" sound man- that's Ben who told me last night he wants to play the drums like his brother and the old man. :thu:

Sweet setup Marko. How much that cost you? 50 bucks or so. LOL

Thanks guys- I'm pretty pumped. We got the whole deal for $5.500.00

I don't think we got hurt. I just want to here my kit through it, hopefully this afternoon. I'm workin' today till 2:30 or so, and then headed in that direction.

So I imagine you've now loosened the fillings in your teeth with that wall of sound. Congratulations on your purchase. Let the sound games begin!! Compression, EQ, timbre, resonance, notching frequencies, muffling, mic positioning...I had hair before I started the game...:D

Seriously, if I can help in any way to make your life a little easier, feel free to ask, And no, I can't lend you money for a cheesburger and a cup of coffee...:D

"Damn it Jim, I'm only a Doctor- hell yes I'll need some help" So you will be hearing from me. But, I was kinda hoping for maybe a hamburger and a cup of coffe since any form of food or nurishment is pretty much out of the question for a little while. But WE GOT LOUD!! :thu::D:evil:

Nice setup Mark. I like Peavy sound. Is this for your new band? I thought it was just you and a guitarist so far? Did you find other musicians?

Yea John, the Metal Band. I think we also have a Bass Player who's gonna work out. But don't make any bets. Strangest buch of stringed animals this side of the Delta. And that made absolutly no sense what so ever, but I'm tired, and I don't care. Later.

LOL ... I do understand what you're saying :) Musicians can be a strange, non commital bunch of people ...

Anyway, you certainly have the right setup for a metal band. Good luck with the project Mark :thu:

Yeah, its true. We've used that guy before, pretty good actually, but a little over priced. He had the nerve to ask for TWO chocolate chips cookies, and a juice box, all for just one nite!! Geez......
:rolleyes::p

DAMN IT! I KNEW he was a little scammer. He got us for 4 Choclate chip cookies, two juice boxes and a bag of swedish fish. Then, if you can believe it, was asleep by 8:30 pm- Man! :D

Marko...

Thats a hell of a lot of gear...

But..........

Why are you investing in all this sound gear? Unless you're a touring band (And by the sounds of it, it's a start-up) Why would you need it?

Here, all the venues have their own house gear & sound guy. And If they don't, we hire a sound guy for $150-$200 for the night and he provides all the gear.

If Its purely for a practice space, it's the tail wagging the dog...

Thats like rodies amounts of gear.

A much smaller PA would suffice to run vocals through...

Then you could have dumped all that money in one hell of a recording set up.

Any-hoo... If I was you, I'd all learn how to use the gear, then run sound for other bands until your project is off the ground. Recoup some of your losses (So to speak)

I mean no disrespect, just curious as to your thought process.

And yes, Bass players are a strange bunch. ;)

Best of luck with your new project. :thu:

GCR- Believe me, this was tossed around a lot. I realize it's comparatively HUGE, but this is what we ended up with. I can see us farming ourselves out once in a while to other shows/ Bands, already been discussed, although as you know there's not a ton of $ in it. That's a lot of equipment to haul for 250.00 / 300.00 bucks. As far as the recording gear, the Guitar player already has a Roland VS-2480 and the VS20 set-up. One of the benefits of being a GEEZER I guess- more spendable income, big boys / big toys and all that crap.

It looks like the Bass player hunt is over. Had one show-up Sunday and he could rip, Plays a four and a six string. Plus he started out running sound so that's a plus. He's coming back this weekend.

And no offense taken- I'd probably ask the same thing.:)
