I can't be alone, can I?

There's a DW kit at Guitar Center here in a blue glass sparkle with satin chrome hardware that I drool over every time I walk in. My last drums were purple fade Pearl Exports.

Here's a quick photoshop of the DW one, since there wasn't one on the DW site but there was one with the correct finish and one with the correct hardware:

My girlfriend uses these events to make fun of me non-stop. Am I the only one that likes glittery, bright-colored kits??

Need I say more! I wish I still had 'em:cry:

Carmine...a Friend of mine in Co has the same set.....same vintage....they just sit in his studio.... he is a Bass player(Producer, studio owner)...I have played them on sessions...I want them so bad but he won't sell...they are mint...I went with him(early 80's) to Santa Barbara,ca(I lived in Hollywood,ca at the time) with him when he bought them($300,5 piece set)....I had Gold Sparkle envy big time even then.:thu:

This past summer he called me wanting my advise on what new set to buy for his studio....so.....for a second I thought he would give in and sell them to me....wrong! He knows what he has and he will never sell them...DAM! Carmine...if you don't mind the question....Why did you sell them? I know you knew what you had....they didn't make that many in the gold finish...they made a bunch in the red finish and I really like those as well but the Gold sets are rare. I remember when they first started showing up in music stores in the Phoenix area....a long time ago my friend.

Zeromus-X...what are they asking for that set at GC?
:thu:

$3800 if I remember right, and I don't think that includes a snare. Off the top of my head I believe it's three racks and a floor, and the kick drum. Or it's two racks, a floor, and a deep as {censored} snare. They're stacked up, not set up to play, so I couldn't tell you for sure.

I can find out tomorrow if you're interested though, can probably take some pictures too.
