Members marko46
Well, we've gotten all 7 tracks down, and amazingly they friggin' sound really good w/out any compression or delay/reverb. We've been here since 9:00. We're down to waiting on the guitarist to sing his lead parts, then the keyboardist and I each have to do our backing tracks.I've finished all of my lead vocals and aux perc. parts. Very productive day. The engineer said he was blown away with how tight we were and the drummer only needed 1 take. But I'm a little tired right now. Members marko46
Well, got home at midnight. 12 hours at the studio. You guys we're right. 8 wasn't enough, but we really didn't get started recording till 1:30. Somebody left his bass pedals, and the keyboard player had to run back and get them. We all missed the case, it was setting there with everything else. Needless to say I was pissed at myself (insert nerve pill here). But even so, By the time the engineer got me miked up, is was an hour almost after I had 'em. I had a blast. My drums sound absolutely awesome even dry, and actually so does everyone else. Guitar player was a little sloppy in spots, but he had his chance to fix it, but "it's the blues man". O.K., whatever. It's not terrible by any means, but..............Other spots, he smoked it too. Yea, I sing. I used to be a lead singer. My voice is starting to come back, although much raspier. I can still hit some pretty high notes if need be. On "Whipping Post" I sing lead. I added:Timbale; Vibra-slap (twice in the song), played my 10" and 12" with my hands and two moon gel each, kinda conga deal; one section with Slapppy's shaker; and a Cabasa. So I got to track over 5 times- very cool. Won't get to do the final mix down till the 4th which sucks, but the engineer may email me some stuff this week. Members marko46
Help the Poor A Quitter Never Wins How Long? (Original) Don't Lie to Me Roll Over Beethoven And as bad as this sounds, I cannot remember the name of the seventh one, I really like it, just can't remember the name. I am a true burn-out from the 70's and 80's- O.K., called the Bass Player: Trouble No More- Jimmy Reed
