Members bucky katt
ive been looking at recording devices such as the boss br-1180cd, zoom PS-02, zoom MRS-4, roland CDX-1 DiscLab, and EVERYTHING in between. i'm not sure what is best suited for my needs. i need to be able to make mix cd's on a regular basis to get gigs.obviously i don't need to do overdubbing, i just need something that i will allow me to record on 2 tracks for about 35-45 + minutes straight. the zoom ps-02 seems like it's all ireally need, but i can only get a maximum of 17 minutes recording time on smart media? then how do i get my music on to a cd? Members bonkybat
I'd record the entire set into a PC and then cut the big .wav file into smaller managable ones with wavelab or soundforge. I'm not sure, but I think the latest versions of those programs allow you to place track change markers into a large .wav file and then burn a CD all in the same software. You might want to run a wee bit of compression on the entire mix to get the levels of all the different tracks all working nicely together. Maybe a spot of EQ would help gell things nicely, too.
