Members ctardi
I need to get about 3 hours of techno for an event next weekend. Since i'm in Canada, file sharing is legal for me, so i'll just grab it off lime wire. Can you name some 'artists' or albums (does techno come in albums?) or songs that you think would be good. Looking for stuff that will keep flowing during a climbing comp... Thanks Guys
Members gruvjack
Techno? I see that you're new to this. The PC term is "electronic music". Climbing competition and will call for more instrumental music than vocal. If you're looking for high energy stuff you'll want to check out these genres and artists: DRUM N BASS: Bad Company, Diesel Boy, Metalheads, Andy C, etc. BREAKBEATS: Fatboy Slim, Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, Meat Katie, Crystal Method, Prodigy, etc. TECHNO (which is an actual genre of "electronic music"): Ritchie Hawtin, Plastikman, Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Anthony Pappa, Angel Alanis, Ignition Technician, etc. Hopefully, others will rhyme in with more suggestions but if you're curious as to what's out there, check out http://www.ishkur.com/music/ as a guide and referrence. regard this as research and homework. Another place to look is www.dancerecords.com , have listen to the some of the dozens of styles and thousands of records available there, pick what you like and look for it you know where. V. P/S Good luck.
Members ctardi
Thank you! I'll look for some of the electronic music. One thing that was suggested to me by another gym is an internet radio station. Any suggestinos on that?
Members gruvjack
You're welcome! Internet radio? Hrmmm.. try Ministry Of Sound 24 hour radio... though something tells me they may be defunct now. That's out of London. Not sure what the URL is but you can Google it. Other than that, you can try the stations liste under WMP or Real Player. V.
