To answer the original poster's question....
You are not alone. They do not even orbit my universe.

Hello Phil,
The tracks sound great. Good tunes. I really enjoyed the vocal meter at the start of Emily. Loved that.
If I was to offer some critism.... while I liked the direction that you are going for the lead guitar tones, somehow I felt like it did not sit into the mix as well as it could have. Also, his note selection was... he'll get better, he is on the right track.
and the singer...hot damn! Character! Loved the vocals to pieces.
Very very good. I very rarely download mp3's, but these.... I will grab.

My bad.
When did this become grammatically acceptable? -
Score two for "outside the box".
Most people that use that expression are responsible for making the box, and worship it as a false religon. -

I dug this. The guitar, pad and piano sound really cool.
One thing I I felt is that one of the cool elements is the guitar slapping in the verses really drives the song and becomes a hook. When the song takes off and goes to the chorus or bridge... I kinda miss it.
Maybe a conga or other hand percussion?

My wife is a casual fan, so I have been listening to them for years.
I have seen them live three (or four) times.... and I can definately say that there is a magic with the old line up together. But... the line up with Warren Cucarillo (sorry for the spelling) and the studio drummer was by far the best musicianship they had.
Seeing Andy Talyor struggle with Warren's lines was painful. I just wanted him to get back to doing HIS thing. In his comfort zone, he does the job well.
