This software comes with a number of excellent softsynths, Dimension is awesome. It has excellent MIDI editing capabilities, better than Live, and records audio also. It has similar feartures of Live and can be used as a "rewire" host or client.
It's pretty easy to use too. Download the demo and check it out. I think you will really dig it. Cakewalk has excellent support and a really good user's forum.
