I kinda do a combination of both. Using Sonar to play my tracks, I do have a setlist window, where with one tap of the spacebar, I can launch into the next tune after one finishes. But I can adjust the setlist on the fly by dragging and dropping the order when I have requests or when I think another song will work better at the moment.
All my songs are right there on a list so I can pick them, not wondering what to play next. -
