Zvex distortron is pretty good for that; check out the ehx crayon as well

I would like to, for example, dial in an overdrive or a general reverb and use them in multiple patches, together or separate, without having to set them up from scratch again.

Then at some point if I feel I want more gain, less treble or whatever, I would just tweak that "virtual stompbox" and all my patches would be adjusted.

I saw the Boss GT-1000 can do this. Any others ?

The GT-1, which I own, can't.
