  2. I looked at a couple of those examples on Wiki and they don't make sense either. When you are able to simplify a formula, you do so before proceeding onto the next alteration of the formula. There's one that says that the square root of a negative number changes it to a positive, which it doesn't. There's flawed thinking in one step of every one of these "formulas" that make people believe it because it's written as a statement.
