  1. Nope, it doesn't, but all the racist {censored} he DID say sure makes him a racist.

What exactly did he say that was racist? Not fancying black chicks doesnt make someone racist, we all have our preferences. As for the "n-pass" comment, not being American the term 'hood pass' is new to me but as per my understanding of the term if someone really did have one then they should be able to say the n-word in a non-hateful way, like most black people seem too.

I dont want to seem like im a big John Mayer defender here. What he did was stupid, his key demographic is women and this interview will hurt his rep with this demographic. Also, as a matter of respect, what happens between the sheets should stay between the sheets. I still dont see anything racist to what he said though.

  2. The guy must be a televangelist to have all that gear. I don't know too many in the Religion business that have that kind of scratch. Kudos to him though.

It is a lovely rig but I dont think it's worth as much as most people seem to think. That EVH is not the 25k Charvel model that was out recently, looks like a partscaster job (much like Eddies original). The Fenders also all look like partcasters, the headstock logos seem off and the bodies definitely dont look like Fender originals. The Peavey appears to be one of the Korean Wolfgangs. That old Marshall looks fantastic though :thu:

  3. Japanese? Standard? Deluxe?

My favourite is the American Standard, mainly because I absolutely adore the necks on them. However, Fender electronics tend to be sub-par imo (bar some pickups like the Tex-Mexs) so I generally buy American Standard bodies and necks off Ebay and put in hardware of my own choosing. It generally tends to work out cheaper than buying the stock guitar aswell. Heres the last one I put together with a body and neck I got at Christmas.

  4. Underrated:

Prince, no one ever really talks about his playing but the dude is a monster player.

Izzy Stradlin, He's a great songwriter, great rhythm guitarist and not a bad lead guitarist. Shame he was always stuck in the background.

    Overratted:

John Frusciante, he's a good musician but hugely overrated as a guitar player.

Slash, he's written some good riffs (although I always felt Izzy was the better songwriter in GNR) but as a guitarist he's not near as technically good as a lot of people seem to make out.
