See, I don't know more about him than he does about guitars

Originally posted by PottMatt Bachand seems to know nothing about guitars...He compares a custom shop, artist only to factory made instruments, then mentions 'the denser the wood, the darker the tone'
WHO is Matt Bachand anyways?

Originally posted by DeadNight WarriorConsidering how he uses it, how that thing isn't dead yet is beyond me.
When he will do that and the whole trem will actually stay in his hand while the guitar will fall on the floor unstringed, I will be laughing. He's gambling with it !

This dude is great!
Now he needs to slow down and focus on:
1) Bends
2) Phrasing
3) Vibrato
4) Subtleties
And then get back to his chops! -

The Road King sounds really FAT and THICK just like I dig it ! -
As I said in another thread:
I've tried out the Real EB MM model (6 string) and was very disapointed because the workmanship is not better than my ESP M-II or an Ibanez Prestige...pretty much the same, maybe even less.
Then I looked at the price tag and shook my head....Pretucci surely makes a cut on those since they should sell for less than what they go for given the quality of the workmanship.
The EB MM JP plays and feels just like an Ibanez Prestige..light body and plastic like construction
Also, about the body wood, all my 3 guitars are made of a different body wood: mahogany, alder and basswood.
Of all those, the Basswood is the worst.
I really dislike basswood, it sounds thin to my ears, even compared to alder, which is not as thick as mahogany.
EDIT: About the Alder rules comment, I can't help but agree. It's like cutting without being too thin. But Alder is VERY pickup dependant.
Whoa, Phil, why are you closing SPAM threads now?????????????

As far as I'm concerned, I don't like SPAM threads. If you got things to sell, EVIL-BAY em or else IMO. A sticky at the top is nice but individual posts get tiring.
