dod fx50b.......$25
behringer dm100 dist. modeller.......$15
danelectro honeytone ht70.......$35
polytone 104 maxi-brute --- 100w, 2ch 2x12, can run in true L/R stereo. reverb, harmonic divider (stereo trem), and a non-functioning octave effect. comes with original 6-button footswitch, which is 3 stereo 1/4" plugs away from working. dressed in ever-fashionable black short-shag velour, this very early 80s rig could use a little TLC, and weighs a half-ton (but does have casters). with this in mind.......$215
would rather be trading for:
univox microfazer, memphis rotophase, akai intelliphase, tonefactor nebula
ross flanger
BYOC dod 250
peavey classic 20
kustom tuck-n-roll cabinet
lots and lots of other things

Originally posted by ColorsoundKidI have been watching The Family Jewels which has some awesome old-school footage of AC/DC live. Obviously, Angus is all over the place like a demon possessed. I have yet to spot a wireless unit on this guy, though. Some of the videos are obviously not live, but many are very much live and the guy doesn't stand still long enough to notice what the hell he is using. So, have wireless systems for guitars been used widely since the mid-70s?
i asked this exact same thing when i first got to HC, some years back, after d'loading a bunch of old ACDC stuff

Originally posted by looferysage, tell me how much of a difference there is with using a clean boost vs a treble booster on a nearly-cranked ampthanks
a clean boost gives a full-range freq push towards your amp. a treble boost goes for more mid & trebly freqs, ones that generally excite a tube amp in a very distinct (and glorious) way.
it doesnt sound very exciting, but really they are worth giving a try (treble boosts in general, that is).
neck 'bucker and trebele booster. mmmmmmmmmm..........
