  1. sounds heavy.

I've been running mine into an SVT-vr with an 810, channel 1, but too often i'm finding the channels competing and the synth loses out getting compressed & ducked. it's like they're only passively summing. could use more sub anyways.

you're probably right about the passive summing. I bet they sound killer through your SVT/810 rig, try a mixer or LS-2 in the loop, should work good.

  2. they're PA subs from the 90's, they have Guass 15's which are pretty badass. any decent powerful sub will do.

when I use them live I don't even need them in my monitor (would sound like {censored} anyway) because you can definitely feel what they're doing coming out of the mains, it really adds a lot imo.

I used my Taurus pedals at a venue that has a large hall upstairs (where we were playing) and a normal size bar downstairs.

while we were sound checking, we made sure we played a song that had the Taurus pedals in it.

near the end of the song, the bartender from downstairs comes running up and yells "what the {censored} is going on", my glasses are falling off the shelves downstairs.

the Taurus pedals were shaking the building so much that the bar glasses were vibrating off the racks downstairs, a proud moment.

another way a guy could amp them would be, if your bass amp has an effects loop, you could stick a line mixer in the loop, or even a Boss LS-2 Line selector pedal and then blend the Taurus pedals with your bass.

  3. how are you amping that?

through the PA live and at the rehearsal space I have two 2x15 cabs with a DBX-120A Subharmonic Synth adding some low freqs.

when I use them live, I occasionally have to remind the soundman to activate the channel they're in, because they're on the floor and you can't see them, they sometimes forget.

  4. bros, any self image issues and insecurity that women have with their looks can be traced back to male dominance and control of the beauty industry.

oh, wait, the editor of Elle magazine is a woman? same with Cosmo and all of those other teen rags that put beauty before substance 100% of the time?

they all come from (or grew up) in a misogynistic world where beauty standards were blatantly (or very cleverly secretly) put in place by men. if you think otherwise, youre naive.

do i really have to post pics of 1950's beauty ads? cuz i will. and then ill {censored} your mind with them.

also, in this thread: pbone agrees with me and takes it to the next level with balls slapping tits and what not.

this is what most unattractive women believe, they want someone to blame.
(straight) women dress for other women, not for men. I've told my girlfriends that I don't like makeup, they still use it, what does that tell you.

(they're {censored}ing other men who like makeup?)
