How much money do you want to earn in Effects and Processors Posted April 7, 2010 Wanting the same standard of living as your folks makes sense.I live waaaay below my parent's standard of living. my wife and I have had the conversation and come to realize we will never make as much as our parents.they aren't rich either. Her dad is a landlord and mine is a school administrator.I'm a teacher and she's a cytologist. There just isn't the same upward mobility and I just don't see myself in the private sector.
