Much earlier this year, I finally got Sly and the Family Stone's Stand!.
Despite having it heard most of it 18 years ago, I had no idea they did "Everyday People."
That nursery rhyme singing on it annoys the {censored} out of me.
Other than that, I like the album.
dig. Our church praise band worked up 'Everyday People' a couple months ago; we sometimes make 'adjustments' in lyrics. I lobbied for amending that sing-songy part in favor of better lyrics and a change in melody. No go.
