  1. That is fucking sharp looking man. Very very nice. I would have stuck with a non reversed headstock, but regardless, if I were a tele guy, I'd have already PM'd you an offer. Truly spiffy.

    :thu:

You know it isnt even about looks with the reverse neck! Ever since I built my start in my avatar with a reverse neck I realized that it just makes more sense to have the tuners on the bottom of the headstock. When I am playing my hand is already down there and I find it easier to tune on the fly when jamming with people. Now it seems that the standard way they are is backwards.

  2. Well after a long wait I finally got the bridge I ordered to finish my Surf Green Tele build! Came out great. Everything fit nice and it barely took any work to setup to my standards. Action is great, no buzzes and the intonation is dead on as it gets. So happy with it. The tele I head in my head for a while.

  3. There's nothing humbucker about them, though. They're single coils, two of them side by side. They're not even reverse wired or anything.

I see. Are they wired to run together then or just on their own? I know I can just go to the site and find out which I should have before I bid on it, but that is just not how I do things.

  4. It's two Lace Sensors mashed together. If you like Sensors, you now have two of them, so it's twice as cool. If you hate Sensors, you now have two pickups you hate.

Ya it is the humbucker kind! I am hoping I like them better in this setup then I did the singles. I didn't hate the singles I just feel Dimarzio has the noiseless thing down way better for my taste. I am sure I will find a use for it in one of my guitars. I have a bad habit of bidding on pickups I don't really need if the price is right. I have way more pickups laying around then I will ever need in this life time.

  5. Seeing if anyone has any thoughts on the Lace Sensor Dually pickups? Just won a Silver and Red one on ebay that I bid on! I am not really sure why I bid on it considering I never really liked any of the singles I tried, but I did anyways.

  6. I asked myself the EXACT same question a few weeks ago. Even Googled the subject and found myself here on HC, reading a similar thread by BoneNut. I started to craft a response, but couldn't really express myself too well at the moment.

The nutshell: I've been playing since I was 10 years old. Did the wannabe rockstar thing in my 20's, studied formally and did the church music thing in my 30's, and now in my 40's, I find myself with a room full of expensive guitars and amps that no one gets to enjoy.

I made a craigslist ad to find a hobby/cover band, but found that
    most
respondents are kind of frightening. They are my age, but they have trashed their families thanks to their habits/hobbies, still getting drunk/high at rehearsals, hauling gear at 2am, smokin' a pack a day, chasing sleazy waitresses, fostering severe alcoholism and talking about how "all music today is just crap." I'm sorry to sound judgemental, but that's not what I want to be around at this stage of life.

Yet playing guitar alone in my living room gets old after several years. So after a while, what's the point? If I'm honest with myself, the last few years, I've had more fun buying guitars that I wanted as a kid than actually
    playing
    guitar.

Don't get discouraged with the {censored}ty people you have met to jam with! There are people like you out there to play with. It just takes a lot of time and screening to find them. It took me 3 to 4 months to put together the group I am jamming with now. A whole bunch of bull{censored} reply's and flakes, but I finally found a solid group of people with good additudes. Just still trying to find a regular Bass player which is no easy thing where I am at.
