Just buy the Home Basic version (AFAIK, same kernel as the others but minus the stuff you DON'T NEED IN A DAW anyway). I'm just thinking of the Home Basic version as a "no frills" DAW version. From everything I've read, DRM will not effect content creation applications such as sequencers, only higher level media players and such.
