Using Zooms VAMS (Variable Architecture Modeling System) technology, the new GM-200 faithfully emulates the sound of 11 legendary guitar amplifiers for home and project recording, rehearsal and selected live applications.

The GM-200 is capable of producing a variety of classic amplifier sounds which cover the full spectrum of great American and British guitar amps of the last four decades used by the worlds leading guitarists. These sounds include American Clean, Twin Drive, Blues Tweed, Class A Combo, British Crunch, British Drive, Combo 335, Metal Panel, Black Bottom, Modern Lead and Fuzz Stack.

In addition to the authentic amplifier recreations, the GM-200 also has features vintage chorus, tremolo, tape echo, and spring reverb effectsall controlled by a single knob.

A special Output Character control adds more realism to the sounds by adding optimum ambience and mastering-type effects when using the GM-200 with a guitar amplifier, multi-track recorder or mixer and a home stereo system.

Gain and Master Level controls can be used to adjust the intensity of the distortion settings, just like a guitar amplifier. Zooms exclusive ZNR (Zoom Noise Reduction) technology eliminates unwanted noise. For more control, a 3-band tone control (TREBLE, MIDDLE, BASS) lets you tailor the sound just the way you want it.

A GAIN switch accommodates guitars with active pickups. A MIX IN (stereo mini phone jack) lets users add external sources without effect processing to the guitar signal to play along with your favorite CD. A pair of RCA phono jacks is also provided in addition to the standard phone jack (stereo) to eliminates problems when laying down a guitar track on a multi-track recorder.

The new GM-200 has an MSRP of $249.
