Sonic Foundry Selects SCV London as Exclusive UK Distributor

Sonic Foundry, Inc. announced that SCV London will be the exclusive UK distributor for its line of audio software. The Madison-based software developer is the creator of Sound Forge, award-winning audio software for the Windows platform.

Roy Elkins, Sonic Foundry's vice president of sales and marketing believes the alliance with SCV London will strengthen the company's position overseas. "Our international strategy has been to seek out the best distributors, and to actively support them with cooperative advertising, trade show presence and comprehensive marketing materials. We feel that SCV London, with its strong connections to the UK's premiere music retailers, will help Sonic Foundry to expand its customer base in the UK."

Adds Robert Morgan-Males, marketing director of SCV London, "SCV London formed its Software Division earlier this year to handle a portfolio of Best-of-Class products. SCV is proud to be handling a market-leading product like Sound Forge 4.0, and UK retailers will be given every support in developing its market share."

Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge contains the most extensive list of audio processing tools available on the PC, and is extendible with a full line of proprietary and DirectX Audio plugins. Other products include Sound Forge XP, an audio editor specifically tailored for multimedia and Internet users, and CD Architect for producing and burning professional audio CDs.

SCV London is a joint venture with SCV International, Europe's largest independent professional audio distribution group. The company was founded in 1992 and supplies a network of UK retailers with experienced technical support and a qualified service department.
