SONAR Optimized for Pentium 4 Processor
By Guest |
Cakewalk featured their professional and consumer music and sound applications at the Intel Pentium 4 processor 2 GHz industry launch. The SONAR digital multitrack recording system, combined with Intel's next-generation Pentium 4 processor, provides a complete, high-performance recording system suitable for use in both full-service commercial recording studios and project-based studios.
"We are seeing 100% performance gains (compared to current Pentium III processor-based systems) when using SONAR with the new Pentium 4 processor-based workstations--that means more than double the audio tracks, double the effects plug-ins, and double the software synthesizers to meet the exacting demands of today's professional musician," commented Chris Rice, vice president of marketing for Cakewalk.
In addition to SONAR, Cakewalk Plasma and Cakewalk Pyro music software products will be demonstrated utilizing the performance of the new Pentium 4 2GHz processor.
Cakewalk Plasma is loop-based music creation software that provides drag-and-drop song making tools, support for Sonic Foundry's ACID-format audio loops, recording and editing of unlimited audio and MIDI tracks, DXi software synthesizer plug-ins, and the Plasma FXPad-- the world's first joystick-controlled DJ FX plug-in for the PC. With Plasma and the Plasma FXPad, even non-musicians can now express themselves creatively through music. Instead of just playing music, users can now can play with it.
Designed for music fans, Cakewalk Pyro is a complete MP3 and CD creation system for the PC. Pyro allows users to rip CDs and LPs, burn CDs, and organize digital music for playback both on and off the PC. Pyro burns both music audio CDs and music data CDs, and also support the leading portable MP3 players including Rio and Nomad.
