PROEL Launches New Speaker Line

Italian pro audio manufacturer PROEL introduced its new TFLV flying trapezoidal speaker series. These enclosures are suitable for mobile touring or permanent installation and are finished in anti-scratch black epoxy texture paint.

The cabinets, designed asymmetrically for stage monitoring, are made of 18 mm birch plywood, incorporate a thick metal grille, stand adapter and ergonomic carrying handles for easy transport and are fitted with commercial M10 thread/eyebolt for flying facility. The TFLV218SP new subwoofer is also equipped with industrial casters for easy transport.

The custom loudspeakers use feature interleaved sandwich voice coils (ISV) and die-cast baskets with double ventilation design for improved heat dissipation to reduce power compression. The optimized mechanical excursion is provided by a unique DSS (Double Silicon Spider) which controls the linearity of system. Low distortion and sound quality are still further improved by the use of double demodulating rings (DDR).

The custom high frequency compression drivers feature titanium diaphragms, flat aluminium wire voice coils, low distortion and response up to 18KHz. PROEL uses two types of dispersion horns: a SWG (Spherical Wave-Guide) type with 70° x 70° coverage; a Constant Directivity Horn 90° x 40° expressly for the new TFLV152P loudspeaker.

The TFLV speakers feature 12/24 dB / octave passive crossovers with electronic protection for permanent reliability under stress conditions. An external Full-Range / Bi-Amp selector allows usage application for multiple speaker systems. Two professional speakon connectors guarantee secure cable locking and permanent power transfer. Like all other PROEL speakers, the TFLV are tested according to the AES standard power requirements and all electronic devices are built according to the CE regulations.

The TFLV line up features: TFLV10P a compact 10" /1" speaker with clear top-end and good mid-bass response. TFLV12P is a 12"/1" configuration. TFLV15P works in a variety of professional applications from arenas and theatres to houses of worship and nightclubs and features a 15" (3" coil) /1" configuration. TFLV152P houses a new 15" (3" coil) speaker mated with a 2" compression driver with titanium diaphragm: this driver, coupled by a 90° x 40° Constant Directivity horn, features a 3" voice coil and delivers powerful High Frequencies both for indoor or outdoor use. The TFLV212P is a 2x12" (3" coil) / 1.4" (3" coil) speaker system is ideal for long and narrow throw both in indoor and outdoor use; it gives clear and powerful sound intelligibility in the vocal range and will perform well in installations, live situations and floor monitoring.

The TFLV series offers a choice of three subwoofers: TFLV115SP features a single 15" (3" coil) woofer is the right low-end reinforcement for the TFLV10P, TFLV12P and TFLV15P. The TFLV215SP has a 2 x 15" (3" coil) configuration and provides rich bass reinforcement when matched with TFLV15P, TFLV152P or TFLV212P. Finally the TFLV218SP is a 2 x 18" (4" coil) subwoofer ready to boost low frequencies with the TFLV152P or TFLV212P speakers.
