New Royalty Free SoundFont Template Packs

SSEYO® Ltd., creators of Koan® software for generative music and sound environments, today launched four new Koan X SoundFont Template packs. Titled respectively LoFi Disparates 1,2 & 3 and Hammond, these compelling packs allow users to record top quality contemporary royalty free music, as well as creating fascinating generative sound environments.

The release of these four template packs hinges on a key SSEYO strategy, which is to focus on the growing demand and market for top quality royalty free music. Any music recorded from these packs can be used royalty free, whatever the project or application. Any company or individual looking for a quick and easy way to create some great audio tracks for their website needs look no further. They just simply load the packs into a Koan authoring system (e.g Koan X or Koan Pro, available separately), create a mix and then record the audio output. The final step is to use an audio encoder tool (not supplied) to convert their recording to a streaming file format, ready for use on the website.

The generative Koan music system is an inherently 'low bandwidth' solution for the creation of original, continuous website sound environments, of which the SSEYO website is a good example. A Koan piece (typically 1kb to 20kb) may use either a PC soundcard's MIDI sounds or downloaded custom WAV samples or SoundFonts. The SSEYO Koan Music Engine within the IKMC does the generative composition on the target machine. Via JavaScript or VBScript on the webpage, 200+ Koan parameters can be changed in real-time allowing the creation of incredible low-bandwidth interactive sound environments.

As a truly generative system, Koan creates music dynamically on the fly through a series of user configurable rules. It also includes, however, inbuilt support for the incorporation, sequencing and real-time arrangement of pre-composed MIDI fragments within a generative piece, thereby delivering the best of both worlds.
