To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the NAMM music industry trade show, the Ernie Ball Company will custom-make 100 Sting Ray Basses, to be displayed at the winter NAMM show, January 18-21 in Anaheim, CA.
The limited edition Music Man Sting Ray 4-string bass comes with added options including an Inca silver body, vintage-style "string-through-the-body" bridge and a graphite neck. Other features include a 3-band EQ, custom headstock embedded with the NAMM 100th anniversary medallion, and a black pearloid pickguard. They will be available shortly after the show.
"NAMM asked us to participate in their anniversary celebration by submitting ideas for new products - they loved the idea of the custom Sting Ray. It's been one of our hottest instruments over many generations," said Sterling Ball, president of the Ernie Ball Company.
Twice a year, the International Music Products Association hosts the NAMM Show, the premier trade show for the music industry. The NAMM trade show welcomes retail music store buyers, manufacturers, manufacturers' representatives, distributors and publishers of the music products industry, professional audio, sound and lighting companies and commercial recording studios.
