Interfacing Technologies, the newly formed division of Furman Sound Inc., introduced their first product at the recent NSCA Show held in Las Vegas. The AIS-10 analyzer interface system fills the need for a high-quality, yet simple, inexpensive, and compact mixer interface for the SIA SMAART system measurement software.

Developed in conjunction with top industry professionals, the AIS-10 is an extremely compact, two channel line level signal router and microphone preamp. "In my thirteen years with Furman, I have never seen such a positive reaction to a new product introduction," commented Joe Desmond, VP Sales."Many of those lined up at our booth were among the most prominent contractors and consultants in our industry, and many wanted to buy one or more on the spot."

The front panel controls include microphone gain, 48 Volt phantom power, reference line input (EQ IN), measurement line input (EQ OUT), output level control, and a selector for mic or line on the measurement channel. Mixer outputs are unbalanced RCA jacks, while three balanced XLR connectors are provided for microphone and line inputs.

Interfacing Technologies model AIS-10 will begin shipping in June of this year. Many other products are planned for the division, with many being developed in conjunction with Don Pearson and Jeff Peters of top touring sound company Ultra Sound.
