Now anyone can read AND write any Pro Sampler storage device (CD, Zip, Hard Drive) with their personal computer. Translator supports a wealth of formats, including GigaStudio/Sampler, Roland, Emu, Kurzweil, Ensoniq, Akai, Emagic EXS-24, Creamware Pulsar/STS systems, Reality, Reaktor, .WAV/AIFF, SampleCell, SoundFont, Korg Trinity/Triton, and many more.

Using Translator's familiar Explorer-clone interface, browsing any sample disk or file system is quick (fastest in the industry) and easy. You see your disk and PC files in a tree-view fashion, exactly as your sampler or computer organized it. Translator allows you to audition any sample directly from disk or file, within the PC's hard drive or proprietary hard drive, simplifying sound searching.

Translator's real strength comes in the file translation area, as it's name suggests. Single file or bulk translations (entire disks, directories, etc.) are available. Within the matrix of 50 or so formats, you can convert most any combination (e.g. Roland->Gigasampler, Emu->SoundFont, etc.). The high road is taken with conversion quality - every detail possible is converted (envelopes, modulation routings, etc.), and files are created to exact specifications (Translator's GigaStudio/Sampler conversion is the only exact translation available). Many other options are available. Translator also supports creation of "Virtual Drives" on your computer - single files that act as drives within the interface. You can format these in any way you want (Akai, Roland, etc.), and drag-n-drop-translate any file on the fly. You then can take that Virtual Drive and burn it onto a CD-R, using most popular burning programs such as CD-Architect, Nero, CD-Creator, and others.

Translator offers features not found in any other convertor of this magnitude: Roland de-emphasis filtering, SMDI transfer, custom-instrument building, direct parameter-editing, disk-recovery, proprietary disk formatting, and much more.

Translator comes as a full product, or is available in special single format editions (e.g. Translator Emu Edition, and others). Translator's GigaStudio/Sampler packages are also available in standalone packages; R-Convertor (Roland), E-Convertor (Emu) Q-Convertor (Ensoniq), and SF-Convertor (SoundFont). "GigaStudio and GigaSampler customers are thrilled with the wealth of additional sample library formats available to them by virtue of Translator's GigaStudio/Sampler packages. Combined with GigaStudio's Patented hard disk based sampling technology and super fast load times, instruments from legacy sample formats can now be combined into much larger instruments to have all variations and articulations loadable and playable at once.", said Jim Van Buskirk, President Nemesys Music Technology, Inc. For those people moving up to different sampler platforms, Translator is currently the choice of many music, film, TV, and video professionals in converting older libraries into newer formats. Translator's unparalleled flexibility but ease of use makes it an invaluable tool. Chicken System's offers 800 toll-free customer service with the United States, and always responds to e-mails within 24 business hours. Feature requests are taken seriously and usually implemented within days. Translator is currently available on the Windows platform; a Mac version is in development.
