    By Guest |

At Winter NAMM, IK Multimedia announced new versions of the AmpliTube and T-RackS plug-ins for ProTools 6 MacOS X. The new versions coincide with the release of Digidesign Pro Tools for MacOS X, allowing AmpliTube and T-RackS users to run Pro Tools on the new Apple MacOS X platform, as well as the RTAS and HTDM platforms.

AmpliTube offers the ability to create more than one thousand amp sounds, without a huge amp set up, making it ideal for studio or live performance. Its Amp module allows you to combine 7 different Pre-Amp models, 5 EQs, 4 Power Amps, 9 Cabinets and 2 Mic models to craft sounds ranging from modern to vintage amps. AmpliTube also gives you the ability to create completely original configurations by combining these settings. All of the classic effects are on board, including Opto-Tremolo and a vintage Spring Reverb. In addition, its stomp box module offers 5 effects including Wah-Wah, Delay, Chorus, Flanger and Overdrive, all modeled on acclaimed classic guitar effects, and its post FX module includes 3 stereo post-effects with 3-band parametric Equalizer, Stereo Delay and Stereo Reverb.

T-RackS ia an analog modeled mastering solution for all Digidesign ProTools platforms. It includes five sound processors, an analog-modeled Equalizer, Compressor, Limiter and a Soft-clipping output stage to bring your mixes to life and create rich, warm final masters on your sequencers. Its musical, transparent, 6-band mastering EQ, tube-modeled classic stereo compressor with side chain, and dynamic patching capability, give you all the tools you need.
