Allen & Heath Announce New MixWizard

Allen & Heath has added to its MixWizard Series with the launch of the WZ20S. The console is packed with fully featured dual stereo inputs, making it ideal for many AV and PA applications demanding numerous stereo sources, and for professional keyboard and effects submixing.

The WZ20S has four mic/line inputs, with six auxes and acclaimed four-band, two-sweep MixWizard EQ. There are a generous eight stereo inputs, each with four band EQ and six aux sends. The stereo channels have dual A and B inputs with phono and TRS balanced jacks, respectively, allowing two stereo sources to be permanently connected and eliminating the need for cable adapters. Sources A and B can be selected individually or mixed together with independent gain control. With an added pair of stereo external inputs, also configurable as returns or external monitor inputs, the WZ20S provides a massive 40 inputs to the mix.

There are two assignable stereo mix busses, Mix1 and Mix2, each with inserts, metering and balanced XLR output. Mix1 can be set up as a subgroup feeding Mix2. Mix2 includes a second stereo and mono sum out. This output flexibility is particularly useful for creating independent stereo/mono zone or broadcast feeds, for performing two submixing tasks with one mixer, or for providing two stereo feeds to a FOH console.

In keeping with the rest of the MixWizard range, WZ20S has Minimum Signal Path architecture for optimum sonic transparency. The QCC connector system allows easy setup in desk or rack format, while vertically mounted circuit boards and steel nuts on all rotary controls ensure long life and convenient servicing. There are a whole host of options for WZ20S owners, including RIAA preamps for record decks, aux pre/post and mono/stereo links, plus the Sys-Link expansion system, making the console a perfect source of extra inputs for most other Allen & Heath consoles.
