Algorithmix has announced the new enhanced version of the Sound Laundry, a stand-alone audio restoration suite for restoring old vinyl and 78 rpm records, de-noising tapes and cassettes, cleaning film and video sound tracks, as well as any other kind of transient and broad-band signal disturbances.

An advanced presets management has been added, allowing you to compare different parameter sets with just one mouse click The PlugIn Station has been equipped with a sophisticated wave and mp3 player including a wave display and loop editor for perfect noise print capturing. Essential editing functions like zoom-in and zoom-out, export, import, cut, split, and even scrubbing are supported now. In addition, a wave recorder with a level threshold and timer that can store the audio data with a sampling frequency up to 96 kHz has been integrated. In off-line mode, processing of wave files with 32-bit floating point resolution is also supported. And now recording thru the PlugIns is even possible.

The main Sound Laundry cleaning tools, the DeScratcher and the DeNoiser, have been considerably improved and functionally enhanced. The DeScratcher has added application oriented profiles and the DeNoiser now has a noise print modifier and advanced dynamic parameters. Brand new PlugIns are included: 6-band PEQ, DeRumbler, and a new 3D spectrum viewing tool AlgoSpec. Further PlugIns are in the works.

A demo version is available for download from the Algorithmix web site. Sound Laundry 2.5 is available now from the company's on-line store.
