Nashville Recording Workshop + Expo 2010 Announces Initial Presenter Lineup

The Nashville Recording Workshop + Expo 2010, presented by the AES Nashville Section and Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business, in conjunction with the Audio Engineering Society, Inc. of NY, have announced the latest list of presenters at this years' exhibition. The 2010 session of NRW+E will be held at The Curb Event Center at Belmont University on March 5-6, 2010, and will showcase top industry professionals as both panelists and presenters, as well as a showcase of exhibits by many of the leading manufacturers in audio gear technology. Drawing from a list of some of today's most highly acclaimed industry veterans from both the local Nashville recording community and around the world, the AES Nashville section is pleased to announce this initial lineup, representing many facets of the recording and production world. Panels and presenters this year will include: Microphone Primer presentation with 3D Audio's Lynn Fuston. Lynn leads a practical presentation and discussion of essential microphone fundamentals with demonstrations of techniques for accomplishing better recordings. What Do You Need Besides A Great Song? panel discussion moderated by Ocean Way Nashville's Pat McMakin. Pat brings his 25 years+ experience as a music publisher to lead panelists on a discussion of what technical and production aspects it takes to help a song succeed. Practical Acoustics with John Storyk. This legendary studio designer provides insight on acoustic fundamentals applicable to any facility, from a one-bedroom production space, to some of the most complex recording studios in the world. Capturing Electric Guitar and Bass with Russ Long. Russ, with the aid of live performers, demonstrates favorite techniques for capturing great-sounding electric guitar and bass tracks in various scenarios and setups. Working Together Virtually: Distance Collaboration with Cliff Goldmacher and Dan Rudin. This presentation offers a live demo of the tools and techniques used for collaborating over distance and time. Additional panelists and presenters will be announced, covering a wide range of recording, production, and technology topics relevant to today's recording professionals and enthusiasts.
