    The Nashville Recording Workshop + Expo 2010 has announced several exciting new panelists and presenters for its upcoming event on March 5th and 6th at The Curb Event Center at Belmont University. Top professionals in all fields of the recording and production process will come together for in-depth discussion and insights into a variety of both creative and technical approaches to getting the most from any recording environment. Some of the featured presentations include: DAW Essentials – Multi-Platinum producer John Merchant (The Bee Gees, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion) will moderate this primer on using DAW's to their fullest potential, along with special guests Trina Shoemaker (Pro Tools) Bill Deaton (Logic) and Bob Bullock (Nuendo), all highly-successful Nashville-based engineers. These power-users will relate their best practices for their workstation of choice, from track layout, to vocal comping and signal flow. Beat and Loops: Augmenting Your Recordings with Virtual Instruments – this highly-anticipated workshop, featuring producer/artist/engineer Charles Hayes, who, along with Melvin "Maestro" Lightford will demo different approaches to using beats and loops to augment core tracks. The Song: From the Heart to the Hard Drive – This panel features GRAMMY-winning artist/producers Ray Kennedy and Gary Nicholson as they discuss their approach to producing top-notch demos utilizing their own studios and tools as they continue their storied careers working alongside some of the world's top musicians. Master Class: Mastering 101 – Mayfield Mastering's John Mayfield will discuss why mastering is important, mastering basics and how to create more "masterable" mixes. Recently announced special guests will also include top industry engineers, producers, artists and dignitaries including Chuck Ainlay, Joe Palmaccio, Chad Hailey, Nathan Chapman, Michael Rhodes, Vance Powell, Sharon Corbitt-House, Lynn Fuston, Russ Long, Pat McMakin, Dan Rudin, Cliff Goldmacher, Jim Catino, Bob Regan, Dave Pomeroy, Maureen Droney, Garth Fundis, Jim Kaiser, John Storyk, Kos Weaver and special guest and keynote presenter, Ben Folds.
