  • BluesAid Auctioning George Lynch Recording Console To Benefit Terminally Ill Artists

    By Guest |

Behringer is proud to be associated with a charity organization in the United States of America that is devoted to helping musicians. BluesAid has, for the past 20 years, raised money to aid Blues artistes whose ability to perform has been affected by terminal or chronic illness.

Towards this effort, BluesAid will be launching an online charity auction with all proceeds going toward the BluesAid, a non-profit organization. One of the highlights of the auction is the Behringer MX9000 mixing console owned and used by George Lynch to record the limited release CD, Lynch Mob Live at the Key Club. George Lynch, renowned worldwide as one of the most talented rock guitarists on the planet, is the founder of the band Lynch Mob and formerly a guitarist of Dokken. This Behringer MX9000 studio console is autographed by George Lynch and will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by George Lynch. It will also come with an autographed copy of Lynch Mob Live at the Key Club.

In addition, Behringer is donating two Behringer iAXE393 USB-Guitars to be auctioned off. These newly launched USB-Guitars will be highly sought-after collector's items, as they will be autographed by various famous artistes performing at the 2006 Arkansas Heritage & Blues Festival.

The BluesAid auction is the culmination of the 2006 Arkansas Heritage & Blues Festival (formerly known as King Biscuit Blues Festival) in Helena, Arkansas, which will have an estimated attendance of 80,000 people. The auction will include items from other artistes such as Pat Benatar, Carly Simon, Josh Grobin, Toby Keith, Elvis Costello, Three Dog Night and Lou Reed, and it runs September 7 through October 7, 2006. All proceeds will go directly to BluesAid. The auction will be held online through MissionFish, the charity wing of eBAY.
