The PipeLine 8x8 is not only perfect for use with an Adat but also for any PC card, workstation or other hardware that is equipped with the Adat Litepipe interface. The PipeLine 8x8 gets D/A and A/D conversion away from one of the noisiest environments on the planet -- your computer -- and into the peace and quiet of your rack or desktop.
Features:
- 8 inputs and outputs with true 24 bit conversion. All A/D and D/A converters are included -- so no need to pay more to add converters to the unit.
- Balanced or unbalanced analog inputs and outputs on 1/4" tip-ring-sleeve connectors
- Internal sample rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz. Tracks external sample rates between 40 kHz and 50 kHz
- Selectable word width of 16 bits and 20 bits with noise shaped dither and 24 bits and exclusive BitRazor 24/16 mode
- Special BitRazor 24/16 mode allows 24 bit audio to be recorded and played back using 2 standard 16 bit Adat tracks -- so the PipeLine turns any 16 bit Adat into a 24 bit recorder.
- Word clock in and out with selectable 75 ohm termination
- Signal, -6 dB, and Clipping Level LED metering for each channel with optional Peak Hold mode.
- MIDI I/O for extended control through system exclusive messages.
- All settings stored in non-volatile memory.
- +4 dB or -10 dB levels selectable per channel.
- 1 U high rack height.
- Digital interconnect format: Adat Litepipe.
- Number of A/D channels: 8.
- Number of D/A channels: 8.
- Analog inputs: balanced or unbalanced on 1/4" phono (tip-ring-sleeve).
- Internal Sample Rates: 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz.
- External Sample Rates: Between 40 kHz and 50 kHz.
- Word Width: 16 bits and 20 bits (with noise shaped dither) 24 bits and special BitRazor mode.
- Input levels: +4 dB or -10 dB selectable per channel.
- Maximum input level: +18 dBu (balanced) or +12 dBu (unbalanced).
- Input impedance: >10kOhm
- A/D converters: 24 bit delta-sigma, 128x oversampling.
- A/D dynamic range: 105 dB typical (A-weighted).
- A/D frequency response (48 kHz sample rate): 10 Hz to 21.8 kHz +/-0.1 dB.
- Analog outputs: balanced or unbalanced on 1/4" phono (tip-ring-sleeve)
- Sample Rates: Between 40 kHz and 50 kHz.
- Word Width: 16 bits, 20 bits, 24 bits and special BitRazor mode.
- Maximum output level: +20 dBm (balanced) or +14 dBm (unbalanced).
- Output source impedance: 600 _ (balanced) or 300 _ (unbalanced).
- D/A converters: 24 bit delta-sigma, 128x oversampling
- D/A dynamic range: 106 dB typical w/ 24 bit data (A-weighted)
- D/A frequency response (48 kHz sample rate): 10 Hz to 21.8 kHz +/- 0.1 dB
- D/A idle channel noise / signal-to-noise ratio: 115 dB.
