Finally a 24 bit Adat Converter Box that does everything you expect it to do and more. 8 Channels of Ultra-quiet 24 bit A/D and D/A conversion with all of the converters included -- so no "accessories" are required for a complete system. And the PipeLine 8x8 does a lot more than just conversion: selectable word widths with noise-shaped dither for 16 or 20 bit systems; exclusive BitRazor 24/16 mode automatically encodes and decodes 24 bit audio onto any 2 tracks of a 16 bit Adat recorder; balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs; word clock in and out; accurate 8 channel LED metering with Peak Hold mode; +4 dB or -10 dB levels selectable per channel; and a whole lot more.

The PipeLine 8x8 is not only perfect for use with an Adat but also for any PC card, workstation or other hardware that is equipped with the Adat Litepipe interface. The PipeLine 8x8 gets D/A and A/D conversion away from one of the noisiest environments on the planet -- your computer -- and into the peace and quiet of your rack or desktop.

    Features:

    • 8 inputs and outputs with true 24 bit conversion. All A/D and D/A converters are included -- so no need to pay more to add converters to the unit.
    • Balanced or unbalanced analog inputs and outputs on 1/4" tip-ring-sleeve connectors
    • Internal sample rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz. Tracks external sample rates between 40 kHz and 50 kHz
    • Selectable word width of 16 bits and 20 bits with noise shaped dither and 24 bits and exclusive BitRazor 24/16 mode
    • Special BitRazor 24/16 mode allows 24 bit audio to be recorded and played back using 2 standard 16 bit Adat tracks -- so the PipeLine turns any 16 bit Adat into a 24 bit recorder.
    • Word clock in and out with selectable 75 ohm termination
    • Signal, -6 dB, and Clipping Level LED metering for each channel with optional Peak Hold mode.
    • MIDI I/O for extended control through system exclusive messages.
    • All settings stored in non-volatile memory.
    • +4 dB or -10 dB levels selectable per channel.
    • 1 U high rack height.
