  • Edirol Delivers OS X Drivers for MIDI Products

    Edirol Corporation announced several new MIDI products for Apple's next generation operating system using MIDI drivers delivered within Mac OS X version 10.1.2. Edirol demonstrated updated drivers that add Mac OS X compatibility to a number of existing products.

    Edirol debuted its new Mac OS X drivers for use with Mac OS X v 10.1.2 supporting a wide range of existing products including:

    • UM-1 1x1 USB MIDI Interface
    • UM-1S 1x1 USB MIDI Interface
    • UM-2 2x2 USB MIDI Interface
    • UM-4 4x4 USB MIDI Interface
    • UM-880 8x8 USB MIDI Interface/Patcher
    • SC-8820 USB MIDI Sound Module
    • SC-8850 USB MIDI Sound Module
    • SK-500 USB MIDI Synthesizer Keyboard
    • PC-300 USB MIDI Keyboard Controller

    Edirol's newest MIDI product, the UM-880 8x8 USB MIDI Interface/Patcher, works "out-of-the-box" with Mac OS X version 10.1.2 which includes a generic MIDI driver from Apple.

    This product is compatible with the USB MIDI Class drivers built into Mac OS X, offering full compatibility to Mac OS X MIDI software.
