    Transit Portable PA

    Applied Research and Technology (ART) has announced the Transit Series, a complete line of portable PA Systems.

    The Transit Series offers a wide demographic a convenient audio solution to presenters and performers who need a lightweight PA system. With many feature options designed for many common applications the Transit Series is ideal for use in schools, churches, conferences, sporting events, receptions and tradeshows to name a few.

    Plug it in or run off the battery. The Transit Series contains its own rechargable power supply so users have the flexibility to present virtually anywhere.

    The Transit Series high-impact molded composite enclosure withstands wide temperture shifts and is extremely durable and will provide many years of use. With a molded 1-3/8" diameter speaker stand adaptor on base, a padded handle on top and a detachable two-wheel trolley unit with extendable handle makes transporting from place to place easy.

    Features Include:

    • AC power or built-in battery power
    • Automatic charger (6-7 hours recharge time)
    • Playing Time: 4 to 5 hours continuous usage (depending on program material)
    • Full range 4 Ohm 8" loudspeaker
    • Rated amplifier output power 75 WRMS into 4 Ohms
    • Microphone / Line-input mixer with Bass and Treble tone controls
    • Heavy-duty tripod speaker stand included (height adjustable 44" to 77")

    Optional Components:

    • Anti-shock CD player
    • Tape recorder/player with auto-reverse
    • One (or Two) USR60 UHF wireless microphone receivers
    • UH76 Handheld wireless transmitter with microphone
    • UL73 Bodypack wireless transmitter with clip-on lapel microphone
    • HM-22 Headset electret microphone (use with UL73 bodypack)
    • BG01 Black fabric storage cover
    • TRCAB Extension speaker (unpowered with matching 4 Ohm 8 inch loudspeaker)

    The Transit Series start at $629 (MSRP) and will be available at music specialty stores Worldwide in September 2005.
