Generalmusic's Drake technology allows the PROMEGA 3 to break new ground in polyphony, sound generation, sound quality and user interface. The concept at the very heart of the instrument's design is to unite supreme performance in an easy-to-operate environment. The PROMEGA 3 user interface is inspired by the designs of celebrated "Vintage" instruments where each individual function had its own dedicated button or slider. That clearly explains why the 5 motorized faders, the 6 Virtual-Pots (Virtual Potentiometers), the 7 LCD's and 8 EQ-bars on the instrument's front panel make even the most intricate operation a matter of sheer simplicity. And thanks to the application of these new remotely-controllable components, the panel updates automatically to reflect any changes whenever a preset is recalled.

4 completely independent and mixable sections (Pianos, Vintage Keys, Orchestra/Pads, Bass/Other), constitute the first true multi-synthesis generation on any instrument of its class. Up to 128 Mb of Stereo/Mono samples can be stored to PROMEGA 3 memory to provide a database of PCM Sounds.

Another first is the implementation of sound generation by real-time physical modeling. This technology allows the reproduction of electro-mechanical instrument sounds such as Rhodes, Wurlitzer or Clavinet to be achieved with astonishing accuracy. Every mechanical action and electrical feature in the original system can be emulated, from the weight or mass of a single tone bar in the Rhodes to the density and size of its related hammer. Physical data, like distance and speed, can be defined with extreme precision using new-concept algorithms. DRAKE's extraordinary power and calculating speed allows this complex data to be processed in real-time, articulating the polyphony to each section up to a maximum of a staggering 320 notes. This sound generation is then integrated with a mighty post-processing section, where GEMs sound processing algorithms (such as Damper Physical Model, Natural String Resonance and Advanced Release Technology) are further articulated by a 15 Reverb + 15 Effect section, and finally enriched by a fully programmable 8-band digital graphic EQ.

Up to 64 presets can be easily created and recalled from the internal memory. The on-board after-touch and Pitch bend and Modulation wheels, coupled with a highly flexible external patch selection system also make the PROMEGA 3 a world-class Keyboard-Controller. A complete series of balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs ensure that the instrument provides optimum versatility in even the most demanding professional situation. Whether used for studio recording or live stage performance, the PROMEGA 3 delivers the ultimate in music-performance technology.
