  • New Effects Processors from Kurzweil

    By Guest |

Kurzweil Music Systems announced two new products in its line of professional effects processors. Based on the effects found in the KSP8, the Rumour and the Mangler offer easy-to-use effects for any environment. Both models are single rack space units which feature 192 effects presets, 64 user locations, balanced stereo analog inputs and outputs, SPDIF digital I/O, and pre-effect EQ.

Each product offers its own unique palette of effects:

The Rumour features a comprehensive set of Kurzweil's finest reverbs and reverb variations, including gated, reverse, and reverb/compression combinations, along with Kurzweil's unique LaserVerb, and chorus/flange+delay+reverb combinations.

The Mangler focuses on effects other than, but not excluding, reverb, featuring chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, rotary speaker, panner, delay, filters, LaserVerb, Pitcher, synth trigger, ring mod, distortion, and compression effects, and many combinations.

The Rumour and the Mangler also serve as an introduction to the world of Kurzweil effects for anyone considering adding a KSP8, Kurzweil's flagship multi-channel effects processor, to their home or pro studio.

The Rumour and Mangler are expected to be in stores early 2003.
