Electrix is proud to introduce a complete new line of live performance-oriented, signal processor products. Specifically tailored to the needs of the emerging ReMix DJ/musician, Electrix is a line of effects processors designed to be played like electronic instruments. Featuring large knobs and buttons that offer real-time, 'hands-on control', Electrix will open new doors of unbridled creative control for DJs, performance-oriented musicians, remixers, engineers and producers.

Designed to full MIDI spec, every knob, button-action, and parameter control on an Electrix product is transmitted via MIDI as a Continuous Controller message. Each Electrix product allows the user to record real-time, front panel adjustments (or performances) as MIDI events, into a sequencer and will also accept MIDI clock. Selectable phono pre-amp inputs enable Electrix processors to be inserted directly between a turntable and a mixer if desired. No auxiliary sends are required to cue effects. Therefore, Electrix products seamlessly cross the boundaries between the DJ, studio production and 'live' performance. The design means that Electrix products can be used as desk-top or 2U rack mountable tools.

Three products make up the Electrix effects processor line:

WarpFactory is a vocoder, useful to DJs, remixers, musicians, producers, and engineers. Using vocals, samplers, turntables, drum-machines or synthesizers, WarpFactory can combine any two signals to create new sounds with human-like qualities. WarpFactory enables the user to superimpose the formant (the signal to shape the sound) on to the source (the sound to be shaped) and adjust real-time parameters like Gender, Q, and Order. Formant Freeze lets the user seize and indefinitely hold a particular formant as parameters are tweaked. Other features include high/low EQ band switching and selectable microphone, line or phono inputs.

Mo-FX Time Synchronized FX is a live performance-oriented multi-effects processor. Emphasis is placed on real-time control and extreme manipulation of the effects. Mo-FX contains four FX modules, or sections offering direct control of distortion, flange, auto-pan/tremolo and delay effects. An intuitive front panel interface offers direct control of the effects sections, tap tempo and momentary switches for effect blasts; NO PRESETS or PROGRAMMING. The user can synchronize flange, tremolo and delay to the tap tempo and choose separate beat divisions for each effect. Front panel performances will send MIDI messages to the user's sequencer. Mo-FX also receives MIDI clock for synchronizing time based effects.

The FilterFactory Analog High Order Filter is a performance-oriented, full featured, MIDI controlled analog filter designed specifically for the dance industry. FilterFactory offers an easy-to-use interface, tap-tempo, LFO, distortion, selectable waveforms, and a wet/dry mix. The filter modulation block offers direct control over rate, depth, waveform types, one shot (envelope trigger mode) and envelope follow. FilterFactory can be used on vinyl, samplers, keyboards and more. FilterFactory has no presets, no menus, and no matrix. There is just one knob; one control. With the tap-tempo the user can synchronize their LFO to any beat. Like WarpFactory and Mo-FX, FilterFactory will also send MIDI messages and receive MIDI Clock. Each Electrix product features MIDI In/Out/Thru with MIDI channel select and stereo processing. Stereo inputs have 1/4" TRS and RCA jacks with a switchable line level or phono pre-amp. Stereo outputs have 1/4" TRS and RCA jacks. All power supplies are internal (no cumbersome wall-warts) and can be easily switched from the back panel to accommodate international voltages! Electrix processors feature a momentary 'bypass' foot switch input for live performance and are warranted against manufacturer's defects for one year.

Electrix is a division of IVL Technologies Ltd. Established in 1983, IVL Technologies supplies advanced signal processing products and solutions to companies that include Mackie, DigiTech, Yamaha, TC Electronics and others.
